Staying Compliant with the Ohio Department of Commerce

Getting to know regulations in Ohio

The Department of Commerce in Ohio is responsible for regulating businesses engaged in the production and sale of cannabis products. This encompasses cultivators and dispensaries. In order to ensure compliance with state regulations, the Medical Marijuana Control Program was established in 2016 to oversee the cultivation and distribution of marijuana across the state. To aid in this effort, the program mandates the tracking of all legally grown marijuana in Ohio. As of September 8, 2018, the use of a tracking system is compulsory for all cannabis licensees.
