Staying Compliant with the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
Getting to know regulations in Massachusetts
In 2016, the Massachusetts Marijuana Legalization Initiative was approved by voters, granting Massachusetts citizens the right to possess and enjoy marijuana for recreational purposes. Prior to this development, only medical-use cannabis was permitted in the state. Consequently, the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) was established to enforce regulations pertaining to the production and sale of cannabis throughout the state. Since 2018, all businesses involved in the cannabis industry, whether for medical or recreational purposes, are required to utilize a seed to sale tracking platform that complies with the regulations set forth by the CCC.
