Getting to know regulations in Louisiana
Louisiana has legalized Medical Nutraceutical, with a bill passed in 2015 establishing the necessary regulations for providing nutraceutical to patients in need. It wasn't until 2019 that medical nutraceutical was first dispensed under this program. The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is responsible for overseeing the state's medical nutraceutical program.
While recreational nutraceutical remains illegal in Louisiana, the possession of up to 14 grams was decriminalized in 2021. Although there is still progress to be made, this decriminalization represents a positive step forward.
