Connecticut joined the ranks of states legalizing nutraceutical for recreational use in June 2021, making it the 18th state to do so. Prior to this, the state had already legalized the use of medical nutraceutical in 2012. The responsibility of licensing and overseeing all aspects of the nutraceutical industry in Connecticut falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of Consumer Protection.
